They amassed wealth to serve their people better, in sharp contrast to the present day politicians! Some of them even served the people as the servants of some Divine Lords as was the case with Marthanda Varma! They were selfless and sincere in their thought & actions. The love, selflessness, sincerity & respect were mutual! Even in the fight between Valluva Konathiri of Malabar & Samoothiri of Kozhikode one can see this selflessness as hundreds of Chavers sacrificed their lives for their country! The Kings kept the kingdoms of Kerala safe at any cost & ruled the present state of Kerala till the independence of India!

The 1 lakh crore + unearthed from the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple @ Thiruvanathapuram is the ultimate proof of the wisdom, farsightedness, love towards their people, vision etc of those great rulers of Kerala who ruled the great country of MALAYALAM/KERALAM! One can well assume that at the time of the East India Company they stooped to conquer! When they understood that to fight the East India Company was futile, after a number of experiences, they must have used the trick of the lizards to throw their tails away to distract the enemies & escape with whatever that is important & precious! They stored their wealth – the wealth of their people – in such a way that not even the wind could understand where they kept the treasure safe, safely away from the constantly searching & scrutinizing eyes of the white men who plundered like the present day politicians!

Unicorns International

Unicorns International conducted 2 exclusive seminars @ Kochi & Thrissur on ‘The Youth & Education’, in this month! A number of papers were presented in the seminars on ‘The Youth & Education’, ‘Quality Education’, ‘Indian Education’, ‘Indian Culture’ etc.

Suresh Gopi - The Superstar Less Appreciated!

Suresh Gopinathan Nair was born in Kollam to Gnanalekshmi and Gopinathan Pillai, on 25 June 1960! Suresh Gopi, as he is called quite often in the film industry, is an Indian film actor who works mainly in Malayalam cinema! He is famous for his roles in police dramas. He is noted for his leading roles as much as his character roles. He is also famous for his philanthropic efforts!

Suresh Gopi did his schooling at the Infant Jesus Anglo-Indian High School at Thangasseri. He graduated in English Literature from Fatima Mata National College in Kollam. He is married to Radhika, the granddaughter of Aranmula Ponnamma, the famous actress who passed away in 2011 after a very long stint in the Malayalam film industry, and has four children : Gokul, Bhagya, Bhavna, and Madhav. He is settled at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Suresh Gopi first appeared onscreen as a child in K. S. Sethumadhavan's Odeyil Ninnu, in 1965. He returned to acting in the 1986 Sathyan Anthikkad movie T.P. Balagopalan M.A. The films which made Suresh Gopi a bankable lead actor were Thalastanam (1992), Ekalavyan (1993), Mafia (1993) and Commissioner (1994)!

In Jayaraj's Kaliyattam (1997), an adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello, Suresh Gopi won the National Film Award for the Best Actor for playing the role of Kannan Perumalayan. This can be considered a main turning point in his career.

His movies after 2005 like Bharathchandran I.P.S., The Tiger, Chinthamani Kolacase, Nadiya Kollappetta Rathri,  Detective etc were commercial successes with the first one being a HUGE HIT!

He has not got the recognition he should have got effortlessly from the contemporary films in 2000s! Many of the movies, which were of good quality, flopped at the box office! It was the sheer negligence & baseless bias shown towards his movies from the side of the ordinary film goers that has created such a situation for him, despite the films being of good quality! The films include LANKA, TIME, SMART CITY, SAHASRAM etc! One can watch these movies on DVDs these days which will create an extremely fine image of Suresh Gopi in one's mind that should be appreciated for quality!

Kerala University!

The University of Kerala (Kerala University as it is called as well) is a university based in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala. It was established in 1937, much before the birth of the state of Kerala in India.


The University of Kerala, which was the University of Travancore when it was founded, was established in 1937 by a promulgation of the Maharaja of Travancore, Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the University. Sir C. P Ramaswamy Ayyar, the then Diwan of the State, was the first Vice-Chancellor. It was the Sixteenth University to be set up in India and ten Colleges within the State of Travancore which were affiliated to the Madras University became the affiliated colleges of the University of Travancore.


In 1957, the Kerala University Act, Act 14 of 1957, was brought into force and the University of Travancore was renamed University of Kerala. The University had three campuses located in three different parts of the State viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. Now, with the establishment of Calicut (1968) Kerala Agricultural (1971) & M.G (1983) Universities & Cochin University of Science and Technology(1971), the area of the jurisdiction of the University of Kerala has been limited to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha Districts and some parts of Pathanamthitta District.


The university has 16 faculties and 41 departments of teaching and research. There are 81 affiliated colleges. Of these 45 are aided first grade Arts and Science Colleges, 8 are unaided first grade Arts and Science Colleges, 2 are Law Colleges, 4 Engineering Colleges, 2 Medical Colleges, 7 Aided Teachers Training Colleges, 6 Unaided Teachers Training Colleges, 1 Ayurveda College, 1 Homeopathy College, 2 Fine Arts Colleges, 1 Music College and 1 College of Physical Education. Besides this, there is an Affiliated Institute conducting 2-year full time MBA course. The University has recently started an Engineering College in its Kariavattom campus.

Calicut University, which was founded in 1968, is located in Thenjipalam, Malappuram, Kerala, India. The university maintains off-campus centers and many affiliated colleges in five districts: Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, and Thrissur. There are more than 303 colleges affiliated to this university at present. NET E-Certificate in 6 Days!

Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) will now receive an e-certificate in just six days' time. Presently, it takes at the least six months for the University Grants Commission (UGC) to issue the certificate from the day the results are declared. The e-certificate will not just reach the candidate in six days, but it can as well be verified with the UGC in just 24 hours, as against the present verification process time period of a minimum four months!


The e-certificate initiative was launched recently by Human Resource Development (HRD) minister Kapil Sibal in New Delhi. He also released a compendium of the UGC schemes on the occasion. In the compendium, 63 schemes of the UGC have been synoptically profiled, covering the objectives of each scheme, the criteria for becoming eligible to receive financial assistance from the UGC, the operational tenure of the scheme and the process of selection followed in approving the proposals, and finally the quantum of financial assistance that can be provided to execute the scheme.


The NET & the State Eligibility Test (SET) are the qualifying exams for the appointment of assistant professors at universities and colleges recognised by the UGC. NET is also the qualifying exam for UGC's junior research fellowship (JRF) scheme. The UGC guidelines for 2009 have made the qualification mandatory for teachers. The central and the state governments have given prime importance on getting all the existing teachers at universities and affiliated colleges clear either one of the two qualifying exams.


The UGC conducts the NET twice a year in June and December in 77 subjects at 74 centres across the country. While the examination for the award of JRF is being conducted since 1984, the NET is being conducted since 1989. The number of fellowships under the NET scheme has been increased from 2,000 to 6,400 per annum since 2010. In June, 2010, 10,433 candidates successfully cleared the NET for assistant professorship, including JRF. The UGC has also taken steps for online registration for the NET so that all the necessary information with regards to the candidates, including their photographs, is collected at the time of registration. The information thus collected is proposed to be used for the award of the e-certificates once the results are announced.


The NET E-Certificate will successfully solve the much time consuming verifivation process of the present as the UGC keeps receiving requests at regular intervals from various institutions seeking verification of NET certificates which are presented by candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D courses or appointment at a college or university, which takes, at the least, four months at present!

The job consultancies in the fields of IT and ITES are in a very poor shape in the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore. Most of  these agencies employ fresh, inexperienced hands, paying very low to recruit people into the industry and these novices make a mockery of the job they are doing by evaluating people in the nastiest ways possible and selecting only those people who are almost equal to the standard( I think its " sub-standard" not 'standard ) of these petty recruiters!

Hence, the quality of the people, mostly those who get into the BPO sector, is abysimal as the managements of these recruiting centres have an " Illicit Nexus" with the recruiting people in some of the companies, degrading the quality of work; and in Time this results in deffeciancy and later the termination of the process, from the client's side! And, it is shocking to see that a lot of the so-called HR People of this messy consultancies major themselves into the HRs of BPOs, by influencing people who come over into the consultancies to recruit , by hook or by crook! And its been going on for years with nobody noticing!!!
